Teh grounds and pool were expansive. Nice to be on the beach, although the Sargassum in March 2026 made it unpleasant to enter the water. The gym was well-equipped and a decent size. However, the cleaning was done between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning, which is prime time. When the water jug ran out, the staff said, "There is no water today." Towels were apparently mandatory, but were not provided, and none were available in our unit. The biggest disappointment was the price of the cabs. In Puerto Vallarta, 200 pesos gets you from the Marina to the Malacon. Here, it cost 300 Pesos to get to the Soriana, which was a 15 minute walk. It also cost 300 pesos to get to town, which was much longer walk. We tried the bus, but the directions from the desk were poor. If Buena Vida offered the loan of bicycles, or even rented them, I would stay there again. Without them, the walk was long, or the cab too expensive. We did enjoy the asphalt tennis court for pickle ball, as did another family. The staff seemed rigid about the booking policies, considering they were not frequently used. We wanted to play when no one was using them, and they said we had to book an hour in advance, and could only use them on the hour."
